Thank you so so so so much! We’re really sorry for not being as active as we used to be though. :(
Harry Potter and JK Rowling in 2012: Early in the year, Harry Potter Kinnect for X-box was released, JK Rowling’s website underwent a make-over, the HP studio opened for tours, and Chamber of Secrets came out on Pottermore. In May, JK Rowling received the Freedom of the City of London award in recognition of her services to children’s literature. In July, JK Rowling read an excerpt from Peter Pan at the Olympics opening ceremony, and at the same event there was a 40ft tall puppet of Tom Riddle! Later on in September, Jo’s novel The Casual Vacancy was published - her first published novel outside the Harry Potter series. The year finished with a live interview by Bloomsbury, Wonderbook being released, and the first chapters of Prisoner of Azkaban opening on Pottermore. Here’s to hoping that 2013 will have just as many great moments for Jo and her fans!
No really Hermione you’re way better than him
Well actually Harry produced a powerful patronus at only 13 years old, cheated death twice, and destroyed the most terrible dark wizard that ever terrorized anyone ever.

“Eternal glory! That’s what awaits the student who wins The Triwizard Tournament.”
#I can’t believe they cut this #this was such an important moment in the series Dudley has tormented Harry all his life and has possibly been one of the most cruel people Harry has even encountered and here he is apologizing in the only way he can and Harry is accepting it #I cried when this happened because two boys that lived together throughout the majority of their lives thus far that hated each other put aside their differences knowing yet not admitting that they might never see each other again because it was highly likely one of them would die
There are two kinds of people
Can we all please take a moment to appreciate Hagrid here? Seriously, everyone always talks about how Harry has no father figure and how terrible it was for Sirius to die because now Harry’s all alone (dont get me wrong, Sirius is my favorite character) but honestly, Hagrid is the best father Harry ever had. He did so much for him, and no one, sometimes not even Harry realizes that. Hagrid gets no where near the mount of credit he deserves. Take a minute and try to imagine where Harry would be with out him and you’ll understand what im talking about.
I think JKR said it was really important to her that Hagrid carried him out of the forest, because he carried him to safety when he was a baby. Hagrid has been there since the beginning, and he was also there at the culmination of Harry’s journey. He’s always cared SO MUCH and been really open with Harry for the most part, which is something Harry needs since people tend to keep secrets from him. Yeah, he’s irresponsible with the monsters, but all of Harry’s father figures were pretty irresponisble, and Hagrid was definitely like, the most solid and reliable out of all of them. And he never left.
Hagrid was also most like a parent in his correction of Harry. For Sirius and Molly, Harry could do no wrong. Dumbledore saw Harry’s flaws, but he depended on them for his own plans to work.
But Hagrid saw Harry for exactly who he was, good and bad. He was the first to publicly defend Harry’s innocence anytime he got blamed for something he didn’t do; but he was also the first to call Harry out on his treatment of Hermione in PoA. He is consistently honest and forthright in addressing Harry’s behaviour and choices, and always acts in the way he believes will be best for Harry’s growth and especially for his moral development.
Harry is the man he is because of Hagrid. No one else did that for him.

We Love Harry Potter - Long Live the Time Turners
Ralph: I really could talk about a moment of liberation to do with my costume because it was an irritating costume to wear. It was too long and sometimes I would trip over it. And underneath, I started off wearing tights. And the gusset of the tights kept dropping down between my thighs. And this made it very difficult to walk with any kind of dignity.
So eventually I said to my dresser, a lovely young man called Neil, and said “you got to have to cut these tights and I get to have garters at the top”. So I enjoyed them, having these garter belt on each leg.
And sometimes when the stunt team are getting too macho, I would tease them with my inner thigh.
People will never think of Voldemort in the same way
Oh my Lord.
Lord Voldemort that is.
Jesus take the wheel.
